"I took a walk in the woods and came out taller than the trees." - Henry David Thoreau

That's how I feel, every time I've been in the forest.

That sensation is also at the heart of Forest Experience.

Why Forest Experience exists

I created Forest Experience in 2024 because I believe we need a different relationship with nature.

One that is based on connection and personal experience, in addition to scientific knowledge and an intellectual understanding of it. One that does not regard nature as a mere commodity, a source to exploit, to degrade or a place we simply shape to meet our needs.

Forest Experience was created as an invitation to rediscover and experience your very own, personal, relationship with nature – in all its variety and facets – and benefit from the positive effects this has for our own health, resilience and well-being.

Why this matters to me

Our fast-paced world constantly demands us to adapt, perform and keep moving. At the same time, we face environmental challenges that call for a fundamental rethink of how we live and relate to the natural world.

For me, these two realities are connected. Rediscovering our relationship with nature can help us reconnect with ourselves and our own resources, while also reminding us of our place within a living world on which we depend. It can open up new perspectives on what sustains us, what matters to us and what we want to preserve.

What I want Forest Experience to contribute

With Forest Experience I invite people to (re)discover this connection for themselves.

Through guided forest bathing and nature-based resilience experiences, I create space for people to encounter nature through their senses, their attention and their own experience. Not by telling them what they should see, feel or learn, but by allowing each person to discover what resonates with them.

My hope is that these encounters offer more than a welcome break from everyday life. That they may deepen our sense of connection with nature, help us recognise what we receive from it and nurture a desire to care, protect and show up for the living world we are part of.

For me, this is where personal experience and wider change meet: in the possibility that what we come to feel more deeply, we strive to value, respect and protect - acting as a powerful catalyst for transitioning into a future where nature-preservation is not an afterthought for actions but its main component.

A little about me

My professional background spans more than 17 years in international and multicultural environments, including the European Parliament and the United Nations System. These experiences have shaped my appreciation for different perspectives, complex working environments and the demands of contemporary professional life.

Alongside this background, I am a certified Forest Bathing Guide for Adults, Children and Teenagers and a certified Nature-based Resilience Trainer®.

Forest Experience brings these different strands together: my experience of international professional life, my fascination with nature and my belief in the potential of meaningful, experiential encounters with the natural world to shape how we show up for her.
